Well, I wouldn't say that they are easier to treat than runner's knee. You are going to really have to stay on top of them. The thing that scares me about knee pain is that is that it could be something worse than runner’s knee, like something that needs surgery or something. Knees seem so fragile and vulnerable.
Okay - I oversimplified, perhaps to reassure myself all will be okay. Just goes to show the human body should still be evolving into a better format but we won't let it.
running surface has something to do with it too.
That should have read to try running on a softer surface like grass if possible. Will help some with the pain if its shin splints.
Shin splints are the devil's creation. It's the sole reason I gave up cross country in 9th grade. Couldn't handle the shin splints!!
